Melanie Holmes
Birth & Postpartum Doula
A little bit about me...
Hi, I’m Melanie — a birth and postpartum doula from Garner, North Carolina, wife to Tyree, and a mama to two beautiful children. We are a Christian family and strive to love like Jesus! I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood studies and taught for 10+ years! Motherhood transformed the way I see birth and postpartum. Through my own experiences, I discovered how powerful it is for mothers to feel supported, informed, and cared for during such a vulnerable and life-changing time. That calling led me to become a doula so I could walk alongside other families as they welcome their babies. I provide gentle, nurturing support to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My approach is calm, faith-centered, and rooted in the belief that every mother deserves to feel seen, heard, and empowered in her birth and postpartum journey. Whether I’m offering emotional support during labor, helping families settle into life with a newborn, or creating a peaceful space for mothers to rest and recover, my heart is to serve families with warmth, encouragement, and evidence-based care. When I’m not supporting families, you can usually find me spending time with my family, enjoying a good book or podcast, sipping a chai tea latte, and talking about all things birth and motherhood. It’s an honor to support families in the Triangle as they step into one of life’s most beautiful seasons.
