A little bit about me...
Hi! I am a mom to 5 beautiful children: God blessed me with 3 boys and 2 girls! I had 5 unmedicated births (This was unintentional - as I'm one of those that the epidural does not work for!) You can catch me listening to music all the time. I love to be outside, soaking in the sunshine. The beach is my favorite place to be. I've always known that I wanted to be involved in birth and postpartum but did not know how until I learned about doulas. Now that I am a doula, I have a passion to empower women and support them wherever they are in their journey.

what is your doula style?
I am a doula who focuses a lot of encouragement and support. I love to provide hands on support for coping measures. I focus a lot on connecting with you as a person, a mother, and as a family. I want to be your built in best friend who is walking this journey with you. My goal is for you to be empowered and supported before, during and after your birth.
There are so many different approaches and goals in labor and I want you to know that you are able to make every single decision so you can walk away having felt supported, heard and cared for during your birth..
why did you become a doula?
For each of my five births and postpartum experiences, I felt so uneducated and did not know anything about the process. I had 5 inductions and felt like birth was just something to get through, not experience.
As I've been exposed to more knowledge about birth, I've looked back on my own experiences and realized that it could have been different. I want to support women so they can feel confident and informed going through their births. I want them to know their options as well as how to fulfill the goals for their birth and postpartum experiences.
favorite types of births to support?
I support all types of births. I have a heart for teen moms and women who don't have a strong support system. I also love "redemptive" births. If your first birth(s) did not go as planned, I would love to help you have a different experience this next time.

My doula Jessica was amazing! Her maternally sisterly comfort and her reassuring hand helped me to ride waves of the contractions! It was pretty much the most intense 3 hours of my life. My husband was so tired from taking care of my two older kids, but he knew he could rest as he knows I’m well taken care of.
I’m so thankful to have Jessica there to remind me to breathe, get my body into a right position and realign my heart and spirit to birth my baby at home!
