Elizabeth Kidwell
Postpartum Doula
A little bit about me...
Hi there! I have been married to my husband for 3 years. In 2023, we made the move from Virginia to the Raleigh area, bringing our two, four-legged babies, Andie and Piper. I recently became a mama to my little boy, Weston, and I’m loving this new chapter. Sundays are all about faith and family for us—we start the morning at church and spend the afternoon watching sports. I cherish time with family and love catching up with friends. Fun fact: I spent seven years growing up in Switzerland, so traveling is in my blood! I’m always up for an adventure, whether it’s exploring new places or just making special memories with the people I love.

what is your doula philosophy?
I would describe my doula style as client-centered, evidence-based, and adaptable. Every family’s journey is unique, and my goal is to provide personalized support that makes your transition into postpartum as smooth and seamless as possible. I’m here to offer guidance, reassurance, and hands-on help, tailored to what works best for you and your baby.
My goal is to provide compassionate support that helps the entire family adjust and thrive. Postpartum care should be nurturing, nonjudgmental, and supportive, creating a space where parents feel encouraged, empowered, and cared for as they navigate this special time.
why did you become a doula?
I became a postpartum doula because of my passion for supporting both babies and their mamas during such a transformative time. With four years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, I developed a deep appreciation for the postpartum period and the unique challenges and joys it brings.
favorite types of clients to support?
I especially love supporting new mamas and the transitions that come with those early days as I’ve recently been through the journey myself!
