A little bit about me...
Hi! I am a proud wife, mom, therapist, and doula. My family has called Raleigh home for the past many years, and we’ve enjoyed exploring and getting to know our community better. In addition to working with mamas as a birth doula, I am also a perinatal therapist, and love providing mental health support to women- I am deeply passionate about caring for moms in all aspects of motherhood. In my free time I love being outside with my family, visiting the mountains or the beach, drinking good coffee, going for long walks, watching (or patiently waiting for!) college football, or reading a great book.

what is your doula philosophy?
My doula style is very calm and empowering. There are so many different approaches and goals in labor and I want you to feel confident in your ability to make each decision as it comes so you can walk away having felt supported, heard and cared for during your birth.
believe that in addition to birth being a very personal experience it is also a very spiritual one. Though we have control over very little in life, I want to help create space for you to be present and at peace to be able to welcome all aspects of your birth and this precious new life!
why did you become a doula?
I became interested in becoming a doula after the birth of my own children. I was so fortunate to have very empowered positive birth experiences, and wanted to learn more about the evidence behind physiological birth. I pursued doula work to be able to help other women have positive and informed birth experiences, and to be in awe of what their body can do!
favorite types of clients to support?
All birth is incredible-Being a part of this intimate experience with you is an honor and not something that I take lightly. I love supporting all types of birth, but do have a soft spot for first time mamas or moms giving birth after a previous traumatic experience!
